Dr. Shakil is typically on time. Appointments are quick. Medications are discussed & refills ordered if needed.

Dr. Shakil is very professional and
Stays well aware of her patients medications and if their health is progressing as desired.
She is not for talk therapy. That falls to a different group of professionals.
She does however give great snippets of advice.

It broke my heart to have to endure a session with this doctor. It was incredibly disappointing and I felt extremely patronized. I don’t understand why one might pursue a career in this field, if one does not believe in helping people while practicing in this country; I am not familiar with how extensively, or if the DSM is even recognized as relevant at all, from the country from which you moved from to practice medicine. I have never had to experience someone as rude and kurt during the session with no resolve. You seemed angry, biased, and discriminatory. Not helpful.

Dr. Shakil is one of the best! She is genuinely involved in my health and well-being. She is thorough in recommending and following up regarding my meds.
